Lauren Bacall isn’t the only forties femme fatale still living … Lizabeth Scott, the husky-voiced star of such classic films noirs as Dead Reckoning (above, with Humphrey Bogart), celebrates her 88th birthday today. And like Bacall, she is something of a poster girl for femme fatale style – all slinky gowns, peekaboo fringe, strong eyebrows and scarlet lips.
